JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO — A 53-year-old Illinois man was hospitalized late Sunday morning after a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Peverly, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Trooper B. J. Magnan responded to the crash on Marble Springs Road west of Metropolitan Boulevard at 11:20 a.m.
The man was riding a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Marble Springs Road when he slowed for a curve to the left and locked up his brakes, causing the bike to overturn and throw him from the vehicle.
The rider was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The crash report indicates he was wearing a safety device.
The Kawasaki sustained moderate damages in the accident and was towed from the scene.
