A junction crash was reported to officials in Lamar Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Southeast 30th Road, around two miles southeast of the city center. A pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Jessica Smith collided with another vehicle driven by 56-year-old Jesse Erwin. Both motorists sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are suspecting Smith failed to yield to Erwin’s vehicle, causing the collision. The incident is currently under investigation.
