STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO – A female driver was injured Wednesday evening after her vehicle was rear-ended on Interstate 55, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Renee Tlapek, 64, was headed southbound on the interstate at 6:10 p.m. when the driver of a 2020 Hyundai Kona failed to take proper safety precautions and rear-ended her 2015 Toyota 4 Runner.
After the two collided, the vehicles then hit the median cables near the 160-mile marker, officials report.
Officials took Tlapek to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital to treat minor injuries.
