Annapolis man seriously injured in St. Francois motorcycle crash

ST. FRANCOIS TOWNSHIP, MO (ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY) – A man was seriously injured Saturday night after being thrown from his motorcycle in St. Francois County.

According to a crash report posted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 7 p.m. near the intersection of Kollmeyer Road and Old Fredericktown Road.

Annapolis man David M. Bowers, 61, was operating a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he attempted to make a left turn. The motorcycle slipped on the roadway, rolling over and ejecting Bowers from the vehicle.

He was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in serious condition.

Bowers was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
