32-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured in Jefferson County crash

MERAMEC, MO -A 32-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injures in a single-vehicle crash on Hillsboro-House Springs Road on Thursday night.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Coty H. Rowan was traveling south on Hillsboro-House Springs Road on a 2005 Kawasaki VN2000-A. The motorcycle hit an unknown object in the road, traveled off the right side of the road, and overturned. MSHP reports the crash happened south of St. John’s Lane around 7:35 p.m.

Rowan was ejected from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a seat belt. MSHP reports he was transported to Mercy Hospital South.

The motorcycle sustained extensive damages.
