2 injured in boating accident on Meramec River

MERAMEC RIVER, MO – A boating accident injured two men on Saturday, according to 70 West Sentinel.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Meramec River. Joshua J. Rigsby, 38, was traveling downstream in a boat as Bradley J. Oldham, 41, was going upstream. Though they attempted to prevent the collision, the boats still slammed into each other

First responders hospitalized Rigsby with serious injuries. Another passenger on the same boat, Mary I. Anderson, was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Three passengers in Olham’s boat were also suffered minor to moderate injuries.
