17-Year-Old Dies in UTV accident southeast of Route O

SALINE COUNTY, MO – A female teenager passed away after she and another rider were ejected from an overturned UTV at 270th Road Monday afternoon, Marshall News reports.

Sydnee M. Soendker, 17, and Katelin R. Stiles, 17, were in a Polaris Ranger UTV on Mariner Avenue when Soendker lost control of the vehicle. Officials say the UTV then skidded off the road, hit a ditch and flipped over. Both of the girls were ejected from the vehicle and Soendker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stiles sustained serious injuries and was transported to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
