16-year-old motorcyclist dead after crashing into fence in Villa Ridge

VILLA RIDGE, MO – A 16-year-old boy was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a fence in Villa Ridge on Wednesday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 823 American Inn Road, south of Fawn Ridge Acres and I-44, at 5:03 p.m., when the 16-year-old operator of a 1998 Yamaha YZ 250 motorcycle ran off the left side of the highway, then collided with a fence.

The motorcyclist, a resident of Villa Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:13 p.m.

No other people were hurt in the collision.
