Barnhart man seriously injured in rear-end collision

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – A man from Barnhart was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a three-vehicle rear-end collision near I-55 Tuesday night.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on the ramp from I-55 to Highway M at about 9:35 p.m.

Troopers at the scene say 67-year-old Timothy McCraw was traveling at a high rate of speed while exiting the interstate and struck the rear of a stopped vehicle on the ramp forcing it into a third car.

McCraw was taken to Mercy Hospital South to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
