Allegedly racing driver smashes 18-wheeler in hit-and-run

ST. LOUIS, MO – A person who was allegedly racing on Interstate 270 hit an 18-wheeler and then fled the scene on Monday, according to a report by KMOV.

The incident occurred in the afternoon in the westbound lanes of Interstate 270, near Bellefontaine Road, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

During the race, one of the drivers lost control and hit an 18-wheeler. After the collision, the driver of the car and possibly their passengers fled the scene on foot, leaving their vehicle behind.

The other person who was racing did not stop their vehicle.
