Accident shuts down lanes on I-70

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials northeast of St. Louis were forced to shut down at least one lane along I-70 Tuesday afternoon.
According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the crash occurred around 3:16 p.m. within the eastbound lanes of I-70 at Jennings Station Road.

No injuries have been reported immediately following the accident. However, this situation is still developing. Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area until 4:00 while the collision is investigated and cleared from the roadway.
