Accident shuts down lane on I-44

ST. LOUIS, MO – Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol closed one lane following an accident on I-44 Wednesday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-44 just past the Arsenal Street exit shortly before 7:00 p.m.

Details regarding the cause of the crash have not been released as of yet. However, the right lane was closed for about an hour while the wreckage was cleared from the interstate.
