Accident shuts down 1 lane on I-55

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol shut down the right lane following an accident early Tuesday evening.
According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transporation, the incident occurred within the southbound lanes of I-55 near Meramec Bottom Road shortly before 4:30 p.m.

No injuries have been reported as a direct result of the incident. However, the right lane is expected to be closed throughout Tuesday night’s rush-hour traffic.
