Man injured in merging accident on I-44

PHELPS COUNTY, MO – A man was injured in a two-car crash on I-44 May 13 at 9:13 a.m. as reported by the Salem News.

Timothy Hance, 32, was merging onto I-44 westbound at the 189.8 mile marker when 82-year-old Leo Bogue swerved his 2007 Buick Lucerne to avoid Hance’s 2016 Chevrolet Express. Bogue overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle, striking the Chevrolet.

Hance was taken to the Phelps Hospital with minor injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
