Accident closes lanes on US-67 near east St. Louis mall

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials in East St. Louis were forced to closed multiple lanes following an accident near the Plaza Frontenac Wednesday afternoon.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident occurred just after noon in the southbound lanes of US-67 at the Plaza Frontenac exit.

No injuries have been reported as an immediate result of the crash. However, the left 2 lanes were shut down for about a half-hour following the incident.
