Scott Sifton is a Missouri state senator who has represented St. Louis County since 2012. Prior to his initial term in the Senate, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives in the 2011-12 term, the Affton Board of Education from 2001-2010, the American Lung Association Missouri chapter board of directors from 2000-2006, and as vice-chairman of the Missouri Bar Association’s legislative committee in 2004.
Scott has earned a reputation for putting policy before politics and for championing strong ethics rules for legislators. His efforts have been acknowledged with awards from both the Missouri Bar Association and Interfaith Legal Services for Immigrants.
Senator Sifton graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in 1996. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School in 1999.
