Nancy is a life-long resident of St. Louis. She attended University of Missouri-St. Louis and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an emphasis in finance. She then attended Saint Louis University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and developed a passion for personal injury and civil practice.
After graduating from law school, Nancy joined a small insurance defense firm specializing in the defense of medical malpractice cases. She gained invaluable experience as a young associate, including writing and assisting with appeals in the case of Asaro v. Cardinal Glennon Memorial Hospital, et al. The case was argued before the Missouri Supreme Court as a case of first impression, and it established the “Zone of Danger” test for emotional distress damages.
Shortly thereafter, Nancy joined a nationally recognized and highly regarded law firm, specializing in personal injury defense based on medical negligence. Through this affiliation, she was afforded several career-expanding opportunities, including the ability to discuss medical theories with both locally and world-renowned medical experts. She also developed and mastered a variety of legal skills while serving as co-chair of several jury trials and as a solo litigator. Nancy obtained several defense verdicts, including those where opposing counsel requested significant six-figure amounts. Additionally, she had the distinction, at the age of 30, of being one of the youngest female attorneys to successfully try and defend a medical malpractice lawsuit in the state of Missouri.
Nancy is a skilled mediator, and she takes pride in having personally effectuated settlements on many claims and cases in which there was an impasse. Through these experiences, she has developed expertise in case evaluation, and has been able to successfully argue on behalf of her clients.
Nancy joined OnderLaw in order to lend her expertise to our civil litigation practice. She focuses on personal injury and products liability, including mass tort litigation. She is licensed to practice in the state of Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Bar. In the past, she has chaired and co-chaired several activities in her children’s school community and with the City of Webster Groves.
