75-year-old driver t-bones Chevrolet Silverado in Lincoln County intersection

TROY, MO – A 75-year-old driver failed to yield at the US-61 and Creech Lane intersection and t-boned a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado on Thursday afternoon.

Gary L. Mealey, 75, was traveling eastbound on Creech Lane in a 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor and failed to yield to Jose L. Barragan-Galicia’s Chevrolet, which was heading southbound on US-61, police report.

Mealey was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. Barragan-Galicia was not injured.

Police report both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
