73-year-old Winfield woman injured in three-vehicle accident

ST. CHARLES, MO – A 73-year-old Winfield woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of US-61 and Highway W on Wednesday morning.

Police report 25-year-old Samantha M. Cryts was traveling east on Highway W in a 2005 Nissan Altima when she ran a stop sign at southbound US-61. She t-boned a 2012 Ford Fusion, driven by 20-year-old Devin R. Walker. This impact caused the Ford to spin and hit a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by 73-year-old Catherine A. Kleeschulte.

Police report the multiple-vehicle crash occurred around 9:45 a.m.

Kleeschulte was transported to SSM Health West for minor injuries.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts.

Both the Ford and Nissan were totaled. The Chevrolet sustained minor damages.
