70-year-old woman injured in Franklin County head-on collision

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A 70-year-old woman was injured in a head-on collision on Maupin Road on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Susan A. Crowder, 70, failed to yield to a 2008 Mini Cooper on Maupin Road north of Diamond School Road. Her 2011 Cadillac CTS struck the Cooper head-on around noon.

Crowder was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for minor injuries. The driver of the Cooper, a 17-year-old female, was not injured in the wreck.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

The Cooper sustained extensive damages and the Cadillac sustained moderate damages.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
