O’FALLON, MO – A 68-year-old truck driver was killed Sunday morning when a person beat him to death in a road rage accident on Interstate 64 in O’Fallon, according to KTVI.
The incident occurred in the westbound lanes of the interstate in O’Fallon, near Highway K, at about 11:30 a.m.
The victim, later identified as Winfield man Ron Lawson, was found unresponsive at the scene by emergency officials. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The suspect was possibly driving a late-model Dodge 2500 or 3500 pickup truck that was towing a white car behind it.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the attack and are asking any possible witnesses or those with information about the incident to contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol at 636-300-2800.
