62-year-old driver sustains injuries in Missouri 8 accident

MINERAL POINT, MO – A 62-year-old Mineral Point driver was injured in an accident on eastbound Missouri 8 on Thursday afternoon.

Stanley D. Drennen was attempting to turn left onto Bohr Road from eastbound Missouri 8 in a 1997 Ford F-150, police report. Mohamed D. Warsame, 33, failed to keep a proper lookout and rear-ended the Ford in his box truck. The accident happened around 3:14 p.m.

Drennen was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Warsame, of Lewiston, MD, was not injured in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Ford was totaled and the box truck sustained minor damages.
