60-year-old driver suffers medical emergency, crashes into semi

WENTZVILLE, MO – A 60-year-old Wentzville woman suffered a medical emergency while driving on US-61 and crash into a semi on Wednesday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Wilma J. Brown was traveling south on US-61 in a 2000 Dodge Durango when she suffered a medical emergency. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road into a cable barrier, across the median, and entered the northbound lanes. MSHP reports the front of the Dodge hit the rear of a northbound semi, driven by 49-year-old John F. Robinson. The accident happened at Granville Drive around 9:55 a.m.

Brown was transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Dodge was totaled and the semi sustained moderate damages.
