59-year-old man killed in rear-end crash on I-270 in Florissant

FLORISSANT, MO – A man was killed in a rear-end collision on I-270 in Florissant last night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on northbound I-270, near Missouri 370 at 6:35 p.m., as a 2020 Volvo VLV, driven by 60-year-old Ben Pino, from Clearwater Beach, Florida, was parked on the right shoulder.

A 2006 Dodge Charger, driven by 59-year-old Florissant man Stephen W. Weiser, then collided with the back of the Volvo.

Weiser was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:43 p.m.

Pino was not reported as injured.
