ST. CLAIR, MO – A 56-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash on eastbound Highway 30 on Monday night.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Eric W. Hawkins, 56, was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 east of Highway K in a 2018 Ford Escape when he slowed down to turn left. Brendan A. Waters, 36, was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 in a 2018 Nissan Altima and failed to slow down in time. The front end of his Nissan struck the side of the Ford.
Hawkins was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damages.
