55-year-old semi driver injured after traveling off Missouri 8, truck overturns

MINERAL POINT, MO – A 55-year-old male semi driver sustained minor injuries after traveling off the road on eastbound Missouri 8 on Monday night.

Police report Andrew D. Baker, 55, was traveling eastbound on Missouri 8 when he failed to observe the road ahead and traveled off the south side of the highway west of Mounts Road (Benny Meyer Road) around 9:08 p.m. The semi overturned after the crash.

Baker was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital. He was wearing his safety belt at the time of the crash.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
