48-year-old woman injured in three-vehicle crash in Imperial

IMPERIAL, MO – A 48-year-old woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash on Imperial Main Street on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevrolet Impala and a 2005 Hyundai Elantra were stopped in traffic on eastbound Imperial Main Street. Joseph A. Lee, 72, was traveling east on Imperial Main Street in a 2002 Ford Ranger and rear-ended the Hyundai. The impact pushed the Hyundai into the Chevrolet. Police report the accident happened west of Old State Road around 4:16 p.m.

An occupant in the Chevrolet, 48-year-old Lawanda P. Parker, was transported to Mercy Hospital South for minor injuries.

All three drivers and the injured passenger were wearing seat belts.

Both the Hyundai and the Chevrolet sustained minor damages. The Ford was not damaged.
