47-year-old woman sustains serious injuries in ATV crash

BARNETT, MO – A 47-year-old woman was seriously injured in an ATV crash on Marvin Cutoff Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Mary B. Thompson was traveling west on Marvin Cutoff Road in a 2015 Honda Rancher ATV when it began to skid, police report. It overturned and ejected the driver. The accident happened .9 miles west of Little Marvin Drive around 4:28 p.m.

Thompson was transported to Lake Regional Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt or safety harness.

The ATV sustained minor damages.
