41-year-old driver injured in two-vehicle St. Charles County crash

O’FALLON, MO – A 41-year-old Wentzville driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash at East Lake St. Louis Boulevard and the I-70 westbound exit ramp early Thursday morning.

Hestine Mason failed to stop at a red light when she was turning right onto East Lake St. Louis Boulevard from the I-70 westbound exit ramp, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. Travis J. Kliethermes, 25, was traveling on East Lake St. Louis Boulevard in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, under a green light. The left side of Mason’s 2017 Volkswagen Passat hit the right side of the Chevrolet. This impact caused the Volkswagen to travel off the south side of the road and hit a concrete wall.

Mason was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Volkswagen sustained moderate damages and the Chevrolet sustained minor damages.
