4 teens injured in single-vehicle crash on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve

STE. GENEVIEVE, MO – Four teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Ste. Genevieve this afternoon, according to information from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on northbound I-55 near mile marker 151 at 2:17 p.m., when the 18-year-old driver of a 2016 Toyota RAV 4 SUV, Hazelwood resident Jacquari H. Danzie, went off the right side of the highway. The SUV then went down an embankment and crashed into a concrete culvert.

Danzie and his three passengers, 18-year-old St. Louis resident Amirah F. Douglas, 18-year-old Jasmine M. Peete, of Milan, Tennessee, and 19-year-old Shaqala L. Hodge, of Dolton, Illinois, sustained minor injuries in the crash. All four teens were taken to Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital for treatment.

All four victims were wearing their seatbelts when the collision occurred.
