38-year-old driver injured in New London intersection crash

NEW LONDON, MO – A 38-year-old New London driver was injured in a crash at the intersection of Highway T and Rainbow Ridge Place on Tuesday afternoon.

Christina L. Gumpton, 57, was traveling south on Highway T in a 2008 Ford Edge when she attempted to turn left onto Rainbow Ridge Place, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. She failed to yield to a northbound 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Angela B. Gates. The crash happened around 3:20 p.m.

Gates was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

MSHP reports both vehicles sustained moderate damages.
