35-year-old driver sustains moderate injuries after vehicle overturns

MINERAL POINT, MO – A 35-year-old Potosi driver sustained moderate injuries in an overturned-vehicle crash on Missouri 8 on Friday morning.

Shirley J. Nash was traveling eastbound on Missouri 8 in a 2005 Pontiac G6 when she crossed over into the westbound lanes, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. She over-corrected to the right causing the Pontiac to travel off the left side of the road and overturn. The collision happened on Missouri 8 approximately .8 miles east of Bohr Road around 6:59 p.m.

Nash was transported to Mercy Hospital South. She was not wearing a seat belt.

The Pontiac was totaled.
