34-year-old driver injured after crashing on snow-covered road

STE. GENEVIEVE, MO – A 34-year-old driver from Des Moines, IA was injured after crashing on a snow-covered Highway M on Wednesday morning.

Amber L. Foland was traveling south on Highway M when her 2009 Chevrolet Impala slid on the road due to snowy road conditions, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Chevrolet traveled off the right side of Highway M south of Gisi Road and hit a tree around 10:43 a.m.

Foland was transported to Ste. Genevieve County for moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

The Chevrolet was totaled.
