23-year-old woman injured after car goes airborne in Jefferson County

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO (JEFFERSON COUNTY) – A 23-year-old passenger was injured after a single-vehicle crash in Jefferson County yesterday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on westbound Highway MM, near Randy Road, at 6:30 a.m., when the driver of a 2010 Ford Fusion, 22-year-old Cedar Hill man James M. McDowell, went off the right side of the highway.

The vehicle collided with a drain, then went airborne.

23-year-old Desteny L. Ennis, also of Cedar Hill, was taken to Mercy Hospital South for the treatment of minor wounds. She was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt.

McDowell, who was wearing his seatbelt, was not reported as hurt.
