23-year-old motorcyclist injured in St. Francois County crash

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO – A 23-year-old Hazelwood motorcyclist was injured in a crash on St. Joe State Park Trail 100 on Sunday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Chelsea L. Allson was traveling south on St. Joe State Park Trail 100 on a 2003 Kawasaki KFX400. She excessively applied the brakes causing the motorcycle to overturn. The accident happened around 3:30 p.m.

Allson was ejected from the motorcycle. She was wearing a safety belt.

Police report Allson was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for moderate injuries.

The motorcycle sustained moderate damages.
