23-year-old driver rear-ends Ford Freestar in Franklin County

UNION, MO – A 23-year-old driver rear-ended a 2005 Ford Freestar on northbound E. State Highway 47 on Wednesday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 73-year-old Dorothy A. Pruessner was traveling northbound on E. State Highway 47 in a 2005 Ford Freestar when Korri C. Falkin rear-ended the towed unit on her vehicle. The crash occurred south of Clearview Road around 7:10 p.m.

It is unclear why Falkin rear-ended Pruessner’s vehicle. She was driving a 2008 Chrysler Aspen.

Pruessner was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The towed unit on the Ford was detached from the vehicle due to the impact and landed on the right side of the road. Falkin’s Chrysler came to a rest in the intersection.
