21-year-old Potosi driver injured in Highway 21 crash

POTOSI, MO – A 21-year-old Potosi driver was injured after his 2005 Dodge Neon overturned in a crash on Highway 21 on Sunday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Austin L. Akers was traveling southbound on Highway 21 when the Dodge traveled off the right side of the road, hit a culvert, and overturned. The accident happened at 15698 South Highway 21 around 4 p.m.

Akers was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The Dodge was totaled.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
