2 lanes closed after accident on I-270

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials in northeast St. Louis were forced to close 2 lanes along I-270 following a rush-hour crash Monday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident happened within the southbound lanes of I-270 near I-55 shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Details regarding the cause of the collision or if any injuries were sustained as a result have not yet been made public. However, the lane closures caused significant delays for those traveling on I-270 during rush-hour Monday evening.
