2 injured while tending to stalled vehicle on I-44

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – Two women were seriously injured after being struck while standing next to a broken-down vehicle on I-44 Monday afternoon.

According to the official accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at mile marker 251 on I-44 shortly after noon.

The report states that Amelia Reecamper, 22, and Katlyn Delor, 23 were standing outside of a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the interstate when they were struck by a 2020 Volvo Conventional driven by Jagtar Singh.

Reecamper and Delor were both rushed to local hospitals in serious condition.

Details regarding the cause of the crash or if any charges will be filed have not yet been made available.
