2 injured in rear-end collision on Blanchette Bridge

ST. LOUIS, MO – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision that took place on the Blanchette Bridge yesterday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Monique Johnson, 34, was traveling west on I-70 when her 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt broke down on the bridge over the Missouri River. Candelario Rodriguez was unable to avoid the disabled vehicle, and rear-ended it with his 2003 Honda Acord. Both Johnson and Guadalupe Morales, a 50-year-old pedestrian in the Acord, received minor injuries and were taken to St. Joseph Hospital St. Charles.
