ST. CLAIR, MO – Two people were injured when their motorcycle crashed into a 1998 Ford F-150 that was fleeing from the police on Sunday afternoon.
Cameron M. Shinkle, 31, was traveling east on West Springfield Road on a 2008 Kawasaki ZX600, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. Gary E. Lindemann, 65, made a left-hand turn in front of the motorcycle causing the two vehicles to collide. MSHP reports Lindemann was fleeing from the police at the time of the crash. The accident happened at Peacock Road around 2:03 p.m.
Shinkle and a 22-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle were transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for minor injuries. Both Shinkle, the injured passenger, and Lindemann were wearing seat belts.
The motorcycle was totaled and the Ford sustained minor injuries.
