JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – Two elderly women were hospitalized following a minor collision in Jefferson County Friday afternoon.
According to the official accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 141 near Romaine Creek Road around noon.
The report states that a 2008 Ford Escape carrying both an 88 and 90-year-old women failed to notice stopped traffic and struck the back of a 2016 Voltswagon Gulf.
Both occupants in the Escape were taken to Mercy Hospital South to be treated for minor injuries.
