19-year-old seriously hurt after crashing into tree in Franklin Co.

CALVEY TOWNSHIP, MO (FRANKLIN COUNTY) – A 19-year-old driver was seriously hurt after he collided with a tree in Franklin County early this morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on Honeyridge Road, near Rock Church Road, at 6:20 a.m., when 19-year-old Brian J. Hines, of Pacific, was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.

He was unable to safely round a turn, and the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway before it collided with a tree.

Hines, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was taken to the hospital in St. Louis for the treatment of serious wounds.

No other people were reported as injured.
