10-year-old girl sustains injuries in semi crash on I-44

ST. LOUIS, MO – A 10-year-old Villa Ridge girl was injured in a crash involving a semi on eastbound I-44 on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dustin L. Clifton, 31, was traveling east on I-44 west of Elm Avenue when he lost control of his 2013 Infiniti KX35. The Infiniti skidded in front of a semi, which T-boned the SUV.

A 10-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Infiniti was taken to a Children’s Hospital for minor injuries.

She had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, as had both drivers.

The Infiniti sustained extensive damages, while the truck was moderately damaged.
