1 killed, others injured following I-270 crash

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – One woman was killed and three other hospitalized following a crash on I-270 Thursday morning.

According to KSDK, the incident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-270 at the Washington Elizabeth exit shortly before 3:00 a.m. Police say the accident happened when the driver of a Hyundai Sonata struck a Nissan Sentra while attempting to switch lanes.

One occupant in the Sonata, 51-year-old Alean Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the other three were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The single male occupant in the Sentra was also hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries after the crash.
