1 injured in multi-vehicle collision in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO  – Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a collision involving four vehicles on an I-55 on-ramp.

According to a report by the MSHP, the incident occurred on the ramp from Richardson Road to I-55 southbound at about 5:05 p.m.

Officials say the first vehicle failed to notice the stopped traffic in front of them and collided with another car causing a chain reaction that involved two other vehicles.

One person was transported by a private conveyance to Mercy Hosptial South to be treated for minor injuries.
