Vehicle fire reported on I-44

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials in Southwest St. Louis responded to a vehicle fire along I-44 Thursday morning.

According to the official Twitter page of the Missouri Department of Transportation, the vehicle caught fire within the eastbound lanes of I-44 near I-270 at about 8:40 a.m.

No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the fire. However, the incident caused delays for those traveling into St. Louis during Thursday morning rush-hour traffic.
