Dave was born and raised St. Louis, Missouri. Dave graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri in 2000. He attended law school at the University of Missouri School of Law, where he graduated in 2003. He is a member of the Order of the Coif, which is awarded to the top ten percent of the law school class. He was also a member of the Missouri Law Review.

Dave's practice includes all aspects of personal injury, catastrophic injuries and wrongful death claims, including products liability, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, rollovers, forklift injuries, construction and workplace accidents, medical malpractice and workers’compensation. Dave is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and has tried numerous bench and jury trials to conclusion.

In July 2008, Dave obtained a $6,000,000 settlement in Knott v. Shepherd, Inc. on a behalf of a woman seriously injured in a truck accident, which is the largest reported settlement in the history of Barry County.

In October 2009, Dave was named a “Rising Star” in the area of plaintiff’s personal injury by Super Lawyers Magazine. This honor is awarded to no more than 2.5% of eligible attorneys in Missouri. It is based on an independent evaluation of 12 areas of peer recognition and professional achievement, including verdicts and settlements, experience, and outstanding achievements.
