Eastbound I-44 vehicle fire blocks right lane for hours

PACIFIC, MO – A vehicle fire blocked the right lane of eastbound I-44 for several hours on Thursday.

According to 5 On Your Side’s traffic map, the right lane of eastbound I-44 was blocked from the Viaduct Street exit (257) to the Six Flags Road exit (261). The incident was reported at 6:47 a.m. and all lanes are anticipated to be cleared by 2:26 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the vehicle fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
