Laura was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated with honors from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2007. Laura received her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law where she was a Dean's Select Scholar. While in school she gained practical legal experience by engaging in civil litigation at the Saint Louis University Juvenile Law Clinic. Laura graduated in 2010 with a Concentration in Civil Litigation.

Laura began working at Onder, Shelton, O'Leary & Peterson in 2005 as a law clerk. Since that time, she has gained extensive experience in her areas of practice which include personal injury and products liability, including catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, rape and sexual assault, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents and workers' compensation.

Laura's practice also includes mass tort and class action litigation where she represents people nationwide who have been injured as a result of drugs and pharmaceutical products.

In 2005, Laura was instrumental in obtaining a $1,500,000.00 settlement for a sexual assault and rape victim at an apartment complex in the City of St. Louis, which is believed to be the largest reported settlement of a sexual assault case against an apartment complex in the state of Missouri.

Laura is a third-generation attorney, proudly practicing law in the footsteps of her grandfather, her father, and her older brother. Laura lives in St. Louis with her husband.
